Freja Beha

Alright, so as I said previously, I would write about this stunning and upcoming model of the moment : Freja Beha
She started modelling in Danemark at the age of 18, and got discovered pretty fast due to her stunning figure and undeniable beauty.
The editor and chief of Elle Magazine said, and I quote "Because of Freja's particular beauty she has been booked for practically every runway shows she had tried to get, and has been stomping on a lot of younger models."
At the age of only 19 she worked the runway for Donna Karan, Jean Paul Gauthier, Christian Lacroix, D&G, Prada and much more.
Not only does she book so many fashion shows, she also appeared on Paris Vogue in 2005, and was on a 6 page spread in the Nov.issue Paris Vogue.
Freja Beha has such a diverse look, and an amazing body with legs that do not end.
I must add, that usually in the modelling world, tattoos and a big NO-NO,Freja has at least 6 tatoes, a 3 on her arms, 2 on her back, and one on her neck, in a year she has booked more jobs than a model that has been in the industry for 3 years. I must say she is one of my favorite models.
Some might say she isn't as beautiful as Gisele, or Cindy C. or even Adrianna Lima, but I find her so special, so intriguing, so mysterious, it's the kind of beauty you won't see everyday, and I guess that is why she has been making her up in the industry.
You know what they say ? Beauty is not all about having a pretty face, it's much more.

Well anyways here are some pictures I found, some are from the Paris Vogue nov.issue, others are not recent. I'd love to write more, but I just came down with a cold, and I'm feeling pretty woozy..fuck that.

Peaceee ! xx

Patrick Demarchelier.

Alright, well before continuing my comments on the nov.issue, I saw amazing pictures taken
by Patrick Demarchelier, a French photographer, and one of the best in the world.
He worked with huge designers, & shot the best models yet.
He started taking pictures at the age of 17. He then became the assistant of the photographer Hans Feurer, but he slowly becomes independent, and starts his own artistic photography. He loves capturing beauty, the spontaneous laughter of a woman = " I want models to forget the fact that I am here, therefore capture that natural beauty that last a couple of seconds before she realises someone is looking at her. Ignorance is wonderful"
In 1975 he moves to New York and that is when he starts working with multiples designers : Calvin Klein, Versace, Chanel, Armani...etc.

Vogue Nov.issue.

Alright, so yesterday I said I scribbled notes about Paris Vogue nov's issue. & I kind of put them all together.
So first of all, the model on the cover is Natasha Poly, she's really making her way up, pretty impressive. She already appeared on the cover of multiples Vogue's, asian vogue, I think russian Vogue & of course french vogue.. She looks stunning in blond, I dont really like her in brunette, but you know whatever works. Natashy poly is a russian model, born in perm in 1985, she started modelling at a young age, in Moscou, after that she started making her way int
o the fashion industry & worked with huge designers (Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Lanvin, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce &Gabbana, Alexander Wang..) as well as big photographers, such as Patrick Demarchelier who shot her for a spread in SpanishVogue. She really is the Model of the moment.

-Now, in this nov.issue, I saw this pretty interesting article about Isabella Blow, who is the woman that discovered Alexander Mcqueen, she became later on his muse, & unfortunatly she died in 2006, found unsconcient on the bathroom floor at a party. The book Blow by Blow is basically her biography, written by her husband Detmar Blow and her friend Tom Sykes & believe this woman had a very interesting life. Im actually looking for it, I really want to read it, i'll put it in my "birthday gift list" :)

Anyways let's mov
e on, a couple of pages later, there are make-up tips, advice given by big make-up artist. I realised that most of them said, that make up to be used this winter is all shades of gray & pink eye shadow, red ish lipstick. I saw this Lancome makeup package at sephora, it's pretty neat & Im guessing perfect for the season to come.
Nail polish = Black - leathery grey- light brown - dark brown - Orange - Red
Umm..then comes fashion
spreads --> I realise that fur, leather, Cotton, cashmere are the texture of all fashion clothes this winter. Accessories - Wooden bracelet's, leather shoulder bags (brown, light pink) very boheme and hippie. Or big leather bags (the newest Louis V. is the perfect example, I cant find a picture of it on google) .- Boots = light brown, dark brown.
Also it's pretty much clear that long skirts are back in, as well as the Gypsy kind of lo
ok, with the small shoulder bag, the big accessories, the large t-shirts...ect. Also big sparkly scarfs. Winter is going to be a fun season. :)
A couple of pages later, there is a fashion spread, with amazing pictures taken by Mickael Jansson, an amazing photographer, and we can vividly see that the Montaigne girl look is pretty awesome.(Pictures with the little girl)

After analysing with love each fashion spread in this Vogue, I saw a pretty amusing little article, about Lea, the transsexual model, who is also the Muse of Givenchy. I was quite surprised to be honest, when I saw her picture I would've never thought she was a man before. Although I do think she is beautiful. & Props to her becoming Givenchy's Muse.

Also there was a picture Of Carine Roitfeld the French Anna Wintour ( so basically the editor and chief of Vogue Paris) & I don't know if I'm the only one that sees the BIG resemblance between Carine and Anna...it's crazy. Although Anna Wintour has a more classic look, Carine Roitfeld is more sexy.

Moving on shall we ?
OK then, I realised there was at least 4 or 5 spread on the new perfumes = Pucci - Dior - Nina Richie ...etc. & The sweet red fruit aromas perfume is back. If any of you has the Miss Dior it has the smell of a small strawberry, or the Nina Richie the apple, or the Miss Pucci. Anyways they smell amazing :) !!
Then again we have make up tips, one of which I'm definitely going to put it on my birthday gift list : The Eclat Miracle of Lancome / or the MUST to retouch some spots or imperfections on your face, & it looks stunning on pictures the Lighting blast squirt of Thierry Mugler !

After that I saw a spread with pictures of Michelle Lamy who is the Muse of Rick Owens, I'd love to write about her, but I couldn't find anything, so I don't want to say anything that might be wrong...so Ill just skip this part.

Alright, I'm going to stop here because, I want to talk about an amazing spread I saw in this Vogue directed by Carine Roitfeld and I really want to write about the model Freja Behaa :) who is the girl modelling here.

Peace ! xx

Long time

Okkk...
So it has been a pretty long time since I have been here..I kinda lost my passport, & I had loads to do, but now that all this is past, I'm back in.
I have been really confused about what I want to do later on in life, should I be a fashion journalist, a creative director, an editor, a photographer..I'm completely lost. I just started journalism classes...it's quite interesting. I'm enjoying it...
Anyways I thought that writing and developing my blog should be a good practice.
Soo...I remember saying I would write an article about Anna Wintour & Andre Leon Talley..but I have something else in mind.
For a week now I have been analysing the Vogue-Nov.issue, it's pretty good, as per use.
& I kind of scribbled little notes about it, I trulyyy think fashion homework is the most wonderfull thing ever. If I don't grow up to work in the fashion industry I should just jump of a window...
Soo im pretty much going to try to put my notes together, and write an article for tomorrow about that November issue.
Ummm what else..? Oh yeah I bought this amazing huge book, that's on the left of the picture, it's about a 100 fashion designers, from A to K, & it's awesome, I mean it's kind of an interview with each designer, their little notes, advice, and story...Love it, pretty much helping me getting to know the industry better.
Anyways I'm about to head out, I'll probably write tomorrow!

*Peace !*

Valentino Fashion show

Good Morning !

Ahhh I woke up filled with energy, My parents are quite nice this morning, giggled a bit with my mother & sister Doua before actually getting to work.
I wanted to get to my math revisions straight away, but I was checking out Paris Fashion Week 2010 on TV while eating breakfast, & Valentino's design are absolutely stunning, so I decided to write about it.

Here are some pictures of Valentino's design with models working it on the runway. I see the color beige, silver grey, pale pink were the main colors Valentino used, it looks fresh, I actually really like that gray dress.
Oh we can also observe that the designer put a lot of shapes into his designs, the volume of the yellow dress, the big bow on the gray dress, and the wavy color on the winter jacket...Umm NICE.
On the two first pictures, the models are wearing the same shoes, & I'm liking the design, a little bushy effect behind, I think it gives the length to the legs.
I want to talk just a bit about the "tissue" & the textures of the clothes. Is it light silk ? Cotton ?
I'm thinking really light silk for the gray dress, because it is transparent...and Cotton for the jacket and the pants...It's killing me, I really want to know, simply because it looks really good and since I do want to work in the fashion industry I guess it is important to know what "tissue" the designers used.

Anyways I need to rap it up, revisions awaits (HURRAY! -_-), so to sum up, Valentino's fashion show was definitely great, the designs weren't too over the top, I mean some of his designs are actually stuff I would buy and wear (Hah If I could afford it !) ...Yeeep that's about it, Ill write later on, certainly about Anna Wintour and Andre Leon Talley my two legends.

Later. xxx

High Fashion.

This article is still about Anya Kop, Im about to post some other pictures of her...
This is a model that shows so much diversity it's incredible, That's what I call a truuue model. I mean If i were a truuue photographer in the fashion industry (maybe in the future im still trying to see what I want to do, become a fashion editor or a fashion photographer..humm) I would love to shoot her, it would be a truuuue joy.

She goes Brunette, to Dark brown, and back to blond & It's weird how she appears so different, the dark brown makes her look mysterious, almost evil, we don't know what the hell she is thinking, the blond is sooo babyy doll, very Chanel ( That reminds me at the age of 17 she was booked for Chanel's fashion show in Honolulu)

Now this first photos, I love what she is wearing, kind of like "My boyfriend's pants" with a classy camisole. That's something my sister Dalia would wear...
Anya has this special pose she does quiet often, the hand in the pants pocket (or jacket) ...Maybe it's her thing, like a signature pose ? I know one thing she really loves putting angels into her pictures. Note how classy she looks here, veryy Paris.

Second picture...HELLO weirdo !
Total nerd goth alert , loving it !
The Boy ishh boots, the blazer that is wayy to big, and the white camisole...the colors are well chosen = Black and white, hello contrast.
I'm the kind of girl that really likes to play with peoples hair, and put make up on them (I'm not bragging but im really good at it ) so anyways, check out Anya's make up, pale foundation, she slightly looks like a ghost, really bushy brown eye brows ( it suits her) and dark lipstick, it's very mysterious.
Her hair, you would think it's shit, and how can someone ever get paid for such a hairdo...? Well believe it or not that hair stylest is a LEGEND, it's really hard to do a messy hairdo and still look fabulous..Believe me I've tried it haha.
One thing I don't really like in this picture, is the context...I think an all gray background would've been way better, but who am I really to even talk or judge huh ?

OK, now this is the last picture I'm posting of her today, as I am getting tired after a day of hard work.
DIVERSITY I SAY...here she is again, giving us a different pose, different look, different face expression...she's doing the "Ugly-pretty" Tyra Banks talks about.
It's slightly Tokyo Fashion Week make up, I'm saying this just coss of the shape of the eyebrows (straight and darkkk as hell) & her bluee lipstick hello very Chin Tchai zue.

I'd comment more about this picture but waw im hellaa tired. I'll write tomorrow :)

Night. Xxx

Anya Kop

Have you guys ever heard of Anya Kop ? The runner up of cycle 10 ANTM...? Amazing beauty, so edgyyyyy, with such a cute accent.
She was born in Russia & was raised by her adoptive family in Hawaii :)

She is 20 years old, and is seriously making her way into the fashion industry.
I have never seen a girl that could pull off such different hair colors, different faces expressions, + Do youu see a lot of reallly blond girls with really dark eye brows that are pretty (apart from Agyness) ..? Nope, but she does, and it looks amazing !

Here are a couple of pictures, the first one was taken by Nigel Barker, a famous photographer, he takes such stunning pictures it's crazy. Back to Anya, see how she captures the light perfectly ? She got that "wind in the hair" thing going on, and look at the eyes, yes true we cant properly see them, but if you look closer it almost looks like the color of her eyes are transparent...

Ohh youu can see how blond she iss huuh...and how dark her eye brows are ? GORGEOUS. She has a touch of M.Monrooee & the elegance of Grace Kellyyy.
Tiny detail, her shoe is almost getting off..I don't know if it was made on purpose but it definitely put a Cinderella twist to it.

I dont really like the texture of the dress she is wearing, it reminds me of a
plastic bag, but she is rocking it.

Hummm what can I say else Except that this was one of her pictures I absolutely adore..

Next ?

The perfect 80's models.

One thing that has always been important in photography, well when it concerns fashion, is finding the right person to shoot, a person that the camera would absolutely be in love with.

Naomi Campbell is one of the most famous English Top Model in the world, but let's be honest here she is getting old, and in the modelling industry it is rare that a model lasts more than 20 years. They get fired, or some models give up modelling to help younger girls pursue their dream to become models, for example Tyra Banks who is the host& producer of ANTM (BEST showwwwwwwww ever)
Back to Naomi, she started modelling in 1980, she was about 11 years old when she started (If I'm not mistaking), and ONE thing that made me go nuts, a revolutionary event if you ask me, she was the first BLACK model to appear on Time and the one and only Vogueeeee (Ahhh) magazine .
This Woman is LEGENDARY & a real beautyyyy in my opinion. She is in my fashion book history yuuuup.

Second model I admire & Love ...wait for it...Linda Evangelistaaaaa .
Isn't this woman just amazingly stunning ? I can't get over her beauty...she is still as beautiful as twenty years ago. Amazing blue eyes, impeccable lips, a cute little nose, this is what I call a girl with an EDGE.
She is a very well known Canadiann Model, yes please. A little older than Naomi, she actually was discovered at the age of 13 during a beauty contest in Ontario, she didn't actually won the contest, but Missy here was discovered by an agent for Elite model management, luckyyy biatch.
After working 3 years in New York with elite, she then was offered a contract with Vogue Magazine..don't really know how that works, but she is definitely a HIT.

Third Model I adore...& My dad compares me to her sometimes, even if I don't look like her AT ALL...Cindyy Crawford.
This beautiful American model was part of the STARS Top Models of the 80's with Naomi, Linda Claudia Schrieffer and Christy Turlington, she is a real shinning star.
She started modelling at the age of 15 ( Kinda like mee, that's why my father calls me Cindy sometimes...or maybe it's because that's the only model he knows), but at 17 she is discovered yet again by an amazing agency ELITE model management and that's where her career officially stars.

I'd talk about Christy Turlington, but I'm not a big fan of hers, she is beautiful no doubt about that, I just don't think her modelling career was a hit like her other model friends...apart from her coco Chanel ad, her other shoots aren't amazing. Although she did appear on ELLE magazine in 1999, that's one point for Miss Turlington...CHA CHING. (her eyes looked creepy omg check it out)

Now what's the point of blabbering about these models...well these women were a hit in the fashion industry and have helped a lot of "little photographers" become INCREDIBLE photographers...but more about then some other time yes ??

<3 <3 . I'm getting tired, I had a rather lonng day. I'm hoping to write tomoroww..Will see. GoodNight :) xx
