Freja Beha

Alright, so as I said previously, I would write about this stunning and upcoming model of the moment : Freja Beha
She started modelling in Danemark at the age of 18, and got discovered pretty fast due to her stunning figure and undeniable beauty.
The editor and chief of Elle Magazine said, and I quote "Because of Freja's particular beauty she has been booked for practically every runway shows she had tried to get, and has been stomping on a lot of younger models."
At the age of only 19 she worked the runway for Donna Karan, Jean Paul Gauthier, Christian Lacroix, D&G, Prada and much more.
Not only does she book so many fashion shows, she also appeared on Paris Vogue in 2005, and was on a 6 page spread in the Nov.issue Paris Vogue.
Freja Beha has such a diverse look, and an amazing body with legs that do not end.
I must add, that usually in the modelling world, tattoos and a big NO-NO,Freja has at least 6 tatoes, a 3 on her arms, 2 on her back, and one on her neck, in a year she has booked more jobs than a model that has been in the industry for 3 years. I must say she is one of my favorite models.
Some might say she isn't as beautiful as Gisele, or Cindy C. or even Adrianna Lima, but I find her so special, so intriguing, so mysterious, it's the kind of beauty you won't see everyday, and I guess that is why she has been making her up in the industry.
You know what they say ? Beauty is not all about having a pretty face, it's much more.

Well anyways here are some pictures I found, some are from the Paris Vogue nov.issue, others are not recent. I'd love to write more, but I just came down with a cold, and I'm feeling pretty woozy..fuck that.

Peaceee ! xx

Patrick Demarchelier.

Alright, well before continuing my comments on the nov.issue, I saw amazing pictures taken
by Patrick Demarchelier, a French photographer, and one of the best in the world.
He worked with huge designers, & shot the best models yet.
He started taking pictures at the age of 17. He then became the assistant of the photographer Hans Feurer, but he slowly becomes independent, and starts his own artistic photography. He loves capturing beauty, the spontaneous laughter of a woman = " I want models to forget the fact that I am here, therefore capture that natural beauty that last a couple of seconds before she realises someone is looking at her. Ignorance is wonderful"
In 1975 he moves to New York and that is when he starts working with multiples designers : Calvin Klein, Versace, Chanel, Armani...etc.

Vogue Nov.issue.

Alright, so yesterday I said I scribbled notes about Paris Vogue nov's issue. & I kind of put them all together.
So first of all, the model on the cover is Natasha Poly, she's really making her way up, pretty impressive. She already appeared on the cover of multiples Vogue's, asian vogue, I think russian Vogue & of course french vogue.. She looks stunning in blond, I dont really like her in brunette, but you know whatever works. Natashy poly is a russian model, born in perm in 1985, she started modelling at a young age, in Moscou, after that she started making her way int
o the fashion industry & worked with huge designers (Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Lanvin, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce &Gabbana, Alexander Wang..) as well as big photographers, such as Patrick Demarchelier who shot her for a spread in SpanishVogue. She really is the Model of the moment.

-Now, in this nov.issue, I saw this pretty interesting article about Isabella Blow, who is the woman that discovered Alexander Mcqueen, she became later on his muse, & unfortunatly she died in 2006, found unsconcient on the bathroom floor at a party. The book Blow by Blow is basically her biography, written by her husband Detmar Blow and her friend Tom Sykes & believe this woman had a very interesting life. Im actually looking for it, I really want to read it, i'll put it in my "birthday gift list" :)

Anyways let's mov
e on, a couple of pages later, there are make-up tips, advice given by big make-up artist. I realised that most of them said, that make up to be used this winter is all shades of gray & pink eye shadow, red ish lipstick. I saw this Lancome makeup package at sephora, it's pretty neat & Im guessing perfect for the season to come.
Nail polish = Black - leathery grey- light brown - dark brown - Orange - Red
Umm..then comes fashion
spreads --> I realise that fur, leather, Cotton, cashmere are the texture of all fashion clothes this winter. Accessories - Wooden bracelet's, leather shoulder bags (brown, light pink) very boheme and hippie. Or big leather bags (the newest Louis V. is the perfect example, I cant find a picture of it on google) .- Boots = light brown, dark brown.
Also it's pretty much clear that long skirts are back in, as well as the Gypsy kind of lo
ok, with the small shoulder bag, the big accessories, the large t-shirts...ect. Also big sparkly scarfs. Winter is going to be a fun season. :)
A couple of pages later, there is a fashion spread, with amazing pictures taken by Mickael Jansson, an amazing photographer, and we can vividly see that the Montaigne girl look is pretty awesome.(Pictures with the little girl)

After analysing with love each fashion spread in this Vogue, I saw a pretty amusing little article, about Lea, the transsexual model, who is also the Muse of Givenchy. I was quite surprised to be honest, when I saw her picture I would've never thought she was a man before. Although I do think she is beautiful. & Props to her becoming Givenchy's Muse.

Also there was a picture Of Carine Roitfeld the French Anna Wintour ( so basically the editor and chief of Vogue Paris) & I don't know if I'm the only one that sees the BIG resemblance between Carine and Anna...it's crazy. Although Anna Wintour has a more classic look, Carine Roitfeld is more sexy.

Moving on shall we ?
OK then, I realised there was at least 4 or 5 spread on the new perfumes = Pucci - Dior - Nina Richie ...etc. & The sweet red fruit aromas perfume is back. If any of you has the Miss Dior it has the smell of a small strawberry, or the Nina Richie the apple, or the Miss Pucci. Anyways they smell amazing :) !!
Then again we have make up tips, one of which I'm definitely going to put it on my birthday gift list : The Eclat Miracle of Lancome / or the MUST to retouch some spots or imperfections on your face, & it looks stunning on pictures the Lighting blast squirt of Thierry Mugler !

After that I saw a spread with pictures of Michelle Lamy who is the Muse of Rick Owens, I'd love to write about her, but I couldn't find anything, so I don't want to say anything that might be wrong...so Ill just skip this part.

Alright, I'm going to stop here because, I want to talk about an amazing spread I saw in this Vogue directed by Carine Roitfeld and I really want to write about the model Freja Behaa :) who is the girl modelling here.

Peace ! xx

Long time

Okkk...
So it has been a pretty long time since I have been here..I kinda lost my passport, & I had loads to do, but now that all this is past, I'm back in.
I have been really confused about what I want to do later on in life, should I be a fashion journalist, a creative director, an editor, a photographer..I'm completely lost. I just started journalism classes...it's quite interesting. I'm enjoying it...
Anyways I thought that writing and developing my blog should be a good practice.
Soo...I remember saying I would write an article about Anna Wintour & Andre Leon Talley..but I have something else in mind.
For a week now I have been analysing the Vogue-Nov.issue, it's pretty good, as per use.
& I kind of scribbled little notes about it, I trulyyy think fashion homework is the most wonderfull thing ever. If I don't grow up to work in the fashion industry I should just jump of a window...
Soo im pretty much going to try to put my notes together, and write an article for tomorrow about that November issue.
Ummm what else..? Oh yeah I bought this amazing huge book, that's on the left of the picture, it's about a 100 fashion designers, from A to K, & it's awesome, I mean it's kind of an interview with each designer, their little notes, advice, and story...Love it, pretty much helping me getting to know the industry better.
Anyways I'm about to head out, I'll probably write tomorrow!

*Peace !*
